We were exhausted, but we didn't go to sleep. Our direction is changing. There are many decisions to be made. We laid together in the lamplight, talking and talking.
Marriage is sweet. Life is complicated. Our God is magnificent.
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
I Peter 5:6-11
Praying for you and your husband and all the upcoming decisions :)
ReplyDeletei think God is in general calling a lot of us out of our comfort zones this year to truly seek Him with all that we are and in the process many hard decisions will have to be made in His name :). Such an amazing and HUGGGGEEEE God we serve. There will be difficulties, there will be suffering, there will be hardships but our God will never leave us or forsake us and He will not forget our OBEDIENCE! Such a beautiful gift. Love you and your blog girl!

One of my favorite passages... there is something so comforting in knowing that things won't always be comfortable, but God is in control of it all!
ReplyDeleteI feel ya girl! We've been in the same place more times than I can count. It's neat to see where He leaded after those moments.
ReplyDeleteI hope you receive some clarity and direction as you two make your decisions and as life continues to change. Blessings! <3
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling. You seem to be remembering who's in charge though. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I meant that was beautiful was that you seem like such partners! And that's one of my favorite verses!
